⭐ 5/5 – I felt right at home the moment I arrived, and the owner—who I think was the host—was extremely kind and made me feel safe and welcomed, which I really valued after a less-than-pleasant previous stay. The house itself was warm and inviting, with a lovely sitting area and a comforting scent that reminded me of my grandma’s house when I was a child. My room was quaint, spotless, and clearly well cared for, with fresh sheets and thoughtful touches. The bathroom was spacious, with plenty of hot water and a full-sized tub—ideal for a relaxing soak after a long day of travel. I only wish I could have stayed longer! If the rest of my stay was any indication, I’m sure the meals would have been just as wonderful. I highly recommend Beechwood to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming bed and breakfast that truly feels like home. Everything was great.

“Comfy room”

The room was comfy, the evening meal was nice and the price was good too. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

“Peaceful and relaxing stay”

The host was friendly, the ensuite room was clean, the breakfast and evening meal were great, and the surroundings were lovely and peaceful. It was a good stop to see the dolphins in Alness and the NC500, and the facilities for dogs were excellent. The host knew a lot about the area. There were no nearby food options, but the host was able to provide a last‑minute requested meal, which was much appreciated.

The breakfast was nice, and Gunta was arranging changes for vegetarian options. Nothing, everything was great.
