The room wasn’t ready, so I had to eat elsewhere; when I returned, someone else was already inside. The carpet was dirty, the shade was broken and wouldn’t close. Trains and traffic made a lot of noise. The shower was so dirty I couldn’t use it. The parking area was unlit, and the doors to the building always locked behind you.

Self‑check‑in meant I never had to deal with staff, yet I was still accused of being rude—a true story. I could hear people on the roof outside my window all night, which was creepy, and every time I left my room I smelled burnt popcorn from people smoking fentanyl; it scared me enough that I held my breath until I was outside. The rooms were clean, but the low price attracted riff‑raff.

It’s a very cool place to stay, and I’d like to come back next time I’m in Greeley; the breakfast sounded great but wasn’t available that day. I arrived late and was a bit confused by the self‑check‑in. If I’d checked my app messages I’d have seen the proprietors’ note about self‑check‑in, but I usually just show up after booking. When I arrived, no one was in the lobby and the placard on the door told me to check my email for instructions, which I did and found none. Luckily, I contacted someone through the app and we sorted it out.
