The hotel sits quietly near the forest, is impeccably kept and spotless, and offers two restaurants that both require reservations, with the Landhaus restaurant standing out; the staff are very friendly, the portions are filling, and the pool and sauna area deserve special praise, though the front desk couldn’t give us a hiking map for the private Fasanenweg trail and a handrail on the stairs to the pool would be a big help for guests with mobility issues.

The breakfast was good, but with 36 °C outside, a high room rate, no air conditioning, and only a noisy floor fan, the weekend was ruined.

The infrastructure is very nice, but the restaurant and pool were closed, and the replacement restaurant did not meet the same standard.
