We stayed for two nights in this motel. Naturally you don’t expect luxury or high‑quality fittings at a motel. The room was basically clean, big enough and totally fine for our stay, but the furnishings look a bit older and somewhat worn. I want to highlight the very friendly staff at check‑in, who could even speak German, which made the arrival very pleasant and hassle‑free. Unfortunately there were also several points that darkened our stay. It was especially annoying that on the second morning at about 6:30 am the cleaning staff suddenly appeared in our room. We were still in the room at that time and all three of us were woken up, so we couldn’t fall back asleep. Such an early and unannounced room cleaning feels very unfortunate to me. The reception was also not staffed continuously. At check‑out we first had to call the phone number on a sign to find out what to do with the key. We were then told to just drop the key in a basket at the reception. That would have been fine, but the cleaning staff on site didn’t speak English or German, so a direct question on the spot wasn’t possible. We also found it disappointing that the restaurant was closed during our stay.
