“A Wonderful and Memorable Family Stay at Cast Away Residence! We are comming back.”
A family of four stayed at Cast Away Residence in Kiwengwa from 2–8 August 2026 and found it a memorable experience. The whole staff were supportive and answered many questions patiently; Chicu, who had been in touch for about a week before arrival about menu, transport and other family‑trip details, made the whole process smoother. Transportation was also arranged through Chicu, and our driver‑guide Bulhani was helpful and accommodating, even taking us to buy local fruit—a fun Zanzibar side‑trip. Despite the short stay, we fit in two great excursions: a Mnemba Atoll snorkeling trip and a full day at Stone Town plus a traditional spice farm, both adding to our villa relaxation. Michael, the chef, deserves a special thanks; the menu offered a wide variety of dishes and we were never disappointed—breakfast, lunch and dinner each day were almost too much for my stomach, which had shrunk after a week of modest safari meals. Everything was fresh, plentiful and carefully prepared. The rest of the crew—housekeeping, security, pool and grounds staff—were amazing and made us feel comfortable, welcome and well looked after. The villa itself, with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, was more than enough for our four‑person family; we kept wishing more friends and relatives could share it. The property sits right on the beach with beautiful ocean views and a very peaceful, private atmosphere.
