The location and complimentary breakfast were great, but the room size felt a little small.

The rooms are decent -- fairly spacious and with comfortable beds. The location is convenient, being fairly close to both Fort Kochi and Mattancherry / Jew Town. Given these aspects, it is also fairly good value for money. There wasn't one single huge problem, but there are a large number of small issues that can add up to a difficult experience overall, and make this place hard to recommend. -- Furniture in the room is very limited, with no desk of any kind, and no chairs. Storage space is also very limited. -- The fan regulator and the AC thermostat both did not work properly, which means it just wasn't possible to get comfortable in the room. It would always feel either too hot or too cold. -- On one morning there was no water supply in the bathroom. -- In the common area outside the room, people can be noisy, and it's not clear if there are any house rules or norms. One night a bunch of people seemed to be partying with loud music and talking/laughter up until 3 am. -- While the location is convenient in theory, the street outside is extremely difficult to walk along for even a short distance, due to barely existent footpaths and rash driving (especially by bus drivers). (This is commonplace everywhere in India, but I was really hoping for things to be a bit better in a major tourist hub like this.) Despite the proximity of the major attractions, nothing is really walkable unfortunately. So overall, there seems to be a lack of attention to detail about several aspects that could make for a more comfortable stay; and also a location issue which makes things difficult for anyone who likes to explore on foot
