“ein traumhafter Aufenthalt”
We stayed 14 days in the Manta Sea View and felt very comfortable. Initially, we were given an corner room for 3 days, then had to move to another (supposedly worse) room. Corner rooms are not bookable via booking, but we didn’t book them. Unfortunately, we were only informed the evening before that we should change rooms at 10:00 the next day. The new room was nicer, especially because it had shade on the balcony, which the corner rooms lacked. Communication could have been better. We joined two excursions, Mantas and Sandbank, each with snorkeling. Both were very well organized. The Sandbank trip is more of a photo stop; drones film the whole excursion, which we receive immediately and free of charge. Guests are mainly Asian and Russian; we were the only Germans on the island during our stay. Beautiful sunsets, turquoise sea, unique underwater world. Dinner is buffet or a la carte, both always possible and very tasty. The chef is great. Breakfast offers a buffet with rice, boiled eggs, toast, French toast, sausages, Nutella, jam, butter, dates, a fruit variety, orange juice. Sometimes waffles or a pancake type. One kind of cornflakes. Milk must be requested. Initially, the staff said there was only one drink – either orange juice or coffee – but upon asking the chef, both were available. Water is always available. The room is well equipped, especially the bed is a dream. Hot water is always available. On request, the room is cleaned and towels changed. Requests are communicated via WhatsApp. Himandhoo is a wonderful island with incredibly friendly people, everything still very original and unspoiled. The falcon has little entertainment and space; maybe the hotel could change that – it would be great! The restaurant staff are friendly but could be more service-oriented. A recommendation: add small lamps to the outside tables of the restaurant at night; it’s too dark to read the menu.
