“A real homestay in Bali”
It was a great spot in Bali’s Kuta/Legian/Seminyak area, close to everything; I really appreciated Shari and her friends' care and loved having Shari’s pets around. Nothing to dislike, highly recommended.

Shalana Homestay, formerly Teka Teki House, sits centrally in Seminyak, offering free Wi‑Fi rooms within 1.3 km of Seminyak Square and Ku De Ta, and 1.8 km from Petitenget Temple. Some rooms feature terraces; all share modern bathrooms with baths or showers. A public pool lies five minutes away, while Oberoi Street, La Lucciola, and Made’s Warung are within a 10‑minute walk. Ngurah Rai Airport is 6 km distant.

The staff, a Canadian woman, was very nice.

The location is good on the back side of Seminyak street. The water pump broke; hope it gets fixed soon.

The spot was really good and the pets were adorable. The rooms had a slight odor, as if they'd been sealed for a while, but otherwise everything was fine. For the price, it's exactly what you'd expect – simple, comfortable, and a solid pick for a short stay.

The kitchen was great with plenty of cookware, free tea and coffee, a big fridge, a spacious room and an extra couch to sit on; the area was quiet and a short stroll to shops, restaurants, Padang warungs, etc. Some guests, like me, enjoy the cats and dogs, but you can't leave the door open for air and light because the room is dark and as soon as you open it the animals hop onto the bed and couch, leaving dog and cat hair. Minor for some, a pain for others. Also the picture shows a pool, but that's actually next door at the villa.
