“Wonderful staff and a warm, personal stay, though air conditioning would have made it perfect.”
The staff were wonderful and made the stay feel very personal; at breakfast they prepared fresh scrambled eggs for each guest, asking individually what they wanted in their eggs and then personally bringing the plate to the table—a warm, thoughtful touch that was a real pleasure; the only thing I truly missed was air conditioning, as our room was directly under the roof, it got quite warm during the summer and was uncomfortable during the day; at night the windy weather helped, but when it rained and we had to close the windows, the room quickly became very warm and stuffy again, so air conditioning would have made the stay much more comfortable.

The hotel is centrally located, the room is nice, spacious, and freshly renovated; the cool bathroom—without a shower partition—looks great but ends up being quite wet; the breakfast was abundant but satisfying; it was a bit inconvenient that a code was needed to enter the hotel and I didn’t receive the emails about it due to my travel, so I only found out by chance where to get the room key—there the lady was very nice—but it would have been better to know all this beforehand.

Finally, the bakery offered real rolls instead of reheated ones, and breakfast was excellent. Everything felt brand new and the room was superb. The hotel also has a beer garden. The only hiccup was the access code issue, but it was resolved quickly.

Breakfast was good and the staff friendly at the breakfast area; the rooms were spacious and tidy; the location is the station building so you step from your room straight onto the train; in the evening the beer garden next to the hotel opens if it’s dry and warm enough (there is no indoor evening space); nothing really stood out as negative, the bathroom was a bit small, and a glitch with the digital check‑in left us without a guest card, so we had to find and fix that ourselves.

The breakfast was rich, with various coffees and juices; I especially liked the breakfast room, which kept referencing the train station theme; the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, and I enjoyed the beer in the hotel’s own beer garden—an in‑house brewery; the station itself has a small café with a very nice owner and a kiosk; currently the station is being modernised, so closing the windows helps, but that will eventually be finished.
