“Saubere ruhige Unterkunft, die ganz nah von U-Bahn und Strassenbahn Stationen.”

The location was very convenient, with tram and metro stops close by, and the room was small but well arranged with a balcony. The kitchen and bathroom/latrines were always very clean, and the overnight guests were quiet and tidy. The train station was directly reachable by tram, which was very handy. The only downside was that on the arrival day, a mass of tourists outside the building made a huge noise all night.

“Basic but good room, in central Berlin”

The place is great because it’s close to the city centre, public transport, the Berlin Wall, and Mauerpark. The room is on the smaller side but still spacious enough for a solo traveller. The interior feels a bit spartan but has the basics. The bed is comfortable, though the cushion cover shows a little yellowing and some towels are worn out. The shower doesn’t drain well, leaving the whole floor wet.

The person I talked to was friendly and I appreciated the small kitchen that let me make tea. They switched my room at the last minute to a stacked‑bed unit with no balcony, making it hard to sit up normally; the chair in the room felt fragile and could have collapsed. The room was clean enough, but the showers were dirty, with grime on the grout and several stains. They offered to move me back to my original room on Tuesday, but I was about to leave then, so it wouldn’t have helped. I’m really disappointed by the room change; if that hadn’t happened my stay would have been much better. I understand things can happen, but I booked well in advance and don’t see why I was switched.

The location is good for the price. The room was fairly dusty, especially the wardrobe, and the pillows were poor.

“Zimmer top. Duschereich flop.”

The room was clean and well thought out. The tiles in the shower area were partially loose or had pits, so water didn’t drain properly, and both the faucets and shower head were limescale‑covered.
