The hotel staff were truly professional—well done. I didn't know the hotel offered motel services, heard moaning at midnight, found bedbugs, and the bed was very noisy.

Excellent location at Largo do Machado, staff were very attentive and helpful, parking available. No elevator, and the bed was hard because of the mattress cover.

I liked the shower and only two staff were helpful; I asked twice for hot water with a mug and they brought it to the room right away. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillow was almost useless—more like a hard cushion—and left me with a sore neck. The room had few outlets and the air conditioner couldn't be set properly, either too cold or too hot. Some staff were brusque, even more so. When I mentioned the hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (it was a closed space), the receptionist was rude, saying she couldn't ask guests not to smoke. “What do you want me to do? I can’t ask a guest not to smoke, can I?!” We also requested a second sheet because we paid the extra guest fee, but the receptionist said she couldn’t lend another. At times a specific receptionist didn’t even respond to “good night” or similar. When I arrived, no operating information was given. I stayed four days and at no point did they do cleaning or maintenance. I will never stay here again.
