“Great View and Room but needs higher cleaning standards”

The view was great and the room was nicely decorated, with a great shower and a very comfy bed. Unfortunately, the room did not feel clean—there was dust everywhere, the floor was dirty, and there were no shower soaps or hand soap. We contacted the property manager, who said they would drop soaps around, but they never did. The sinks in the bathroom were not fixed, mould was growing around them, and there was stagnant water underneath.

“Perfect apartment, perfect location, perfect weather, perfect holiday.”

The apartment was just a two‑minute walk from the harbour and all the shops, bars and restaurants; the bedroom view was breathtaking, waking up to see fishing trawlers departing in the morning. The bathroom was outstanding, with a great shower, a beautiful bath, and two sinks; the wardrobe had plenty of space, the fridge was ideal for storing a few drinks, and the on‑site laundry facilities were a bonus since we stayed for two weeks. The only drawback was more about Brixham itself and the parking difficulty; we had to book a driveway as a parking spot (using the Just Park app), which was the only way to guarantee parking for a fortnight, but it was relatively cheap and a minor inconvenience, not the property’s fault.

“Pleasantly impressed”

It could have been cleaner—nothing seemed to be lifted for a thorough clean underneath, the towels were stained, and the kitchen lacked enough cutlery.

“Views are the best part of the property”

The view was spectacular, but there were steps everywhere, and I had to call for a hand wash; the call was answered two days later. No shower gel, no biscuits or treats, towels were only changed every seven days and were too small for my size 12; toilet paper was only single‑ply. Very disappointing for a LUXURY property; only the views made up for it.

Fantastic location, room with view, issue was dealt with immediately. Limited towels for stay - could do with more if staying longer than 2 nights
