Close to Ponsonby shops and restaurants. Easy check in and out. Great bed. Off street parking. The dishwasher was not working… awaiting parts (thought they should just replace it)… the microwave did not work. The kitchen tap was loose. Everything was a bit tired.

I stayed in a lovely apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and a quiet setting, but finding the laundry facilities felt a bit inconvenient.

I arrived a bit late, yet the check‑in process was straightforward and I got into my room quickly. The apartment sits on the outskirts of a small city, with parking close to the city centre and Ponsonby right at the doorstep. It has a lounge area, a separate bedroom, decent appliances, and overall it was a comfortable stay. In hindsight, there wasn’t much to criticize; the place is clean and functional, not overly fancy, but it serves well as a crash pad to base yourself. It feels a bit dated, squeezed between a church and a petrol station, and isn’t as glamorous as a central city hotel, yet it does the job.
