“Boek dit niet!!”
We never even slept there, so nothing impressed us. The huts sit on a beautiful rice‑field site, but after the taxi dropped us off we had to lug our 20 kg suitcase across the field to the huts, which looked deserted, littered with trash, empty bottles and dirty rags, and the kitchen seemed unused for ages. Repeated attempts to reach the host via WhatsApp, SMS and phone went unanswered, and to this day we’ve heard nothing. One hut was still under construction with no activity, and locals we asked couldn’t tell us where Tiny Eco’s reception was. After three hours of waiting and trying to contact the owner, we finally opened a door to what looked like a luxury villa with a private pool and jungle view—for about ten euros more than the €55 we’d paid. Do not book this! Everything felt like a scam, and I’m warning everyone not to reserve it; the shared toilet was disgustingly dirty, and the fact that the latest reviews were six months old should have been a red flag.
