The hotel is on a quiet street and close to bike rentals and Vondel Park, which was great. It’s a 20‑25 minute walk to the city centre and the red‑light district. The beds were comfortable and clean, with fully zipped mattress protectors. The shower and bathroom had visible mold on the walls. I was charged for items taken from the minibar that I never touched; when I asked, no refund or solution was offered.

I liked the location, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower could be more modern, and the shower head holder was faulty – it could be replaced for under €10.

The hotel sits on a very central yet quiet and well‑maintained street near the museum district. We were greeted warmly and the staff were extremely courteous. The room was spacious and we were given separate beds as requested. After a minor accident, the staff assisted us kindly. The breakfast was delightful, everything fresh and lovingly prepared; only the bread could have been better than what we’re used to in Germany, but in a Spanish hotel that’s acceptable. Everything else was tasty and there was nothing to complain about. The bar and restaurant also exceeded our needs. Hats off to this well‑run hotel – we’ll book the Catalonia Vondel again! Me gustó la ubicación , limpieza y desayuno , pero sobre todo nos encantó la atención y amabilidad de Víctor y Julio Cesar en recepción y Miguel en el restaurante , nos sentimos como en casa , gracias.
