Breakfast was lovely and served with a smile. The location was great, only a 10‑minute walk to central Totnes, and it was convenient to leave the car there and walk into town. The single room on the ground floor was a bit small, and the bathroom was very small. I didn’t see any of the other rooms, so I can’t say whether it’s a romantic place to stay.

The room was very nice and comfortable, with an excellent en‑suite. There was no one to welcome me when I arrived, and the breakfast options were limited.

Nothing was positive except the location. I never saw such a dirty carpet floor in any accommodation; everything looked a bit worn. The lady was helpful, but I had to ask for lamps by the bed and a trash bin.
