“Espectacular”
The owner’s formality and friendliness, the apartment’s spaciousness, exquisite décor, quietness, garden, and everything else were fantastic. It looks even more beautiful than on the website. Spectacular.

Charme in Sant Ambrogio, a historic Florentine boutique hotel, blends Renaissance charm with modern comforts. Set in a centuries‑old building, it offers private gardens, terraces, and free WiFi. Family rooms feature air‑conditioning, balconies overlooking the garden, tea/coffee makers, and work desks. Located 10 km from the airport, 18‑minute walk to Uffizi, and 1.4 km from Piazza della Signoria, it provides easy access to Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza del Duomo.

The apartment is beautiful, tastefully furnished with antiques and lovely pictures. It’s very quiet yet not far from Florence’s center. I felt very comfortable and would return anytime.

Very well‑located, a short walk from the Sant’Ambrogio market and well served by buses. The large bed was very comfortable, and the room’s air‑conditioning was appreciated. The place is calm and relaxing.

Good location, but the outdoor area could have been improved.

We had an excellent stay in this apartment and would gladly return if we came back to Florence. Highlights: 1. Perfect welcome. Communication with the host was excellent before and on the day of arrival, especially via WhatsApp, to organise our check‑in. It’s best to converse in Italian, but a translator like Deepl works fine. 2. Easily reachable from the airport. The apartment is very easy to get to via tram T2, for a tiny fee compared to a taxi. If you’re carrying bulky luggage, a bus might be better: the sidewalks can be narrow between the San Marco terminal and the apartment (about 12 minutes on foot). 3. A quiet, comfortable, well‑equipped apartment. It’s on the ground floor with a garden view. We especially liked the small private terrace with its table, great for meals. The kitchen is well equipped so you can avoid eating out every day. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, perfect for a week or longer. Having a washing machine is also a real plus. 4. A pleasant, well‑situated neighbourhood. The area is quiet and elegant, close to the historic centre without being in the middle of tourist bustle – which is very appreciated in Florence. All major sights are within 20‑30 minutes on foot, or easily reachable by bus thanks to nearby stops. Nearby, there’s a genuine market frequented by locals, ideal for groceries, and a nice flea market for more original souvenirs. In short, an excellent address we hope to find again on a future Florence visit. No complaints.
