The breakfast is decent for a small inn, with little variation day to day but still enjoyable. This is my fifth visit to Brotas, having stayed in various accommodations before. When we arrived, the room floor wasn’t properly cleaned. During the three‑night stay, housekeeping never came, and towel changes only happened after we asked.

The room is good and the beds are comfortable, but the bathroom was dirty with used soaps in the shower from previous guests, the shower had no door so the outside area got wet, there was no one to receive us, and the staff member Gabriela, in the middle of the breakfast hall, in a relatively loud tone, charged us for the remaining stay even though we weren’t leaving and it was my first contact with anyone at the hotel.

The coffee and service were good, but the weather was bad (it rained).

The place is rustic, clean, cozy, and warm, but it sits literally in front of the train station, and at night the silence is absurd; around 5:00 a.m. there’s a tremendous train horn and track noise.

I loved the location, the breakfast was well supplied and the fruit was very fresh. The bathroom was disappointing, it was very small and cramped.
