El Urco Chiloé - Hostal y Cabaña

“Excellent service and a convenient and cozy place to stay”

Daniel was on top of everything – he kept checking in, made sure the room was just the right temperature and seemed to have a sixth sense for any little issue that popped up. I never felt like I was missing anything, and his effort made the whole stay feel warm and comfortable. Honestly, I’d pick this place again just for the host alone.

“Vale la pena volver”

The place was a stone’s throw from my conference and the airport terminal, which saved me a ton of commuting time. The house was surprisingly cozy, the room spotless, and the laundry machines were a lifesaver; the hot shower, solid Wi‑Fi and Netflix made evenings easy. All in all, a very comfortable spot for a short stay.

“Il y a de meilleures options sur Puerto Varas”

The room did have Netflix, which was a nice perk, but the bed frames scratched the sheets and left marks that showed up the next morning. Sound traveled through the paper‑thin walls – we could hear TV, conversations and even doors opening from the next unit, making it hard to sleep. Checking in over WhatsApp felt endless, with wrong phone numbers and a shortage of toilet paper that left us stranded at night, plus we were hit with VAT we weren’t supposed to pay as foreigners.

Being just a few minutes from the city centre made it easy to walk everywhere I needed to go. Everything else – from the clean rooms to the friendly staff – was spot on, so I didn’t have any complaints.

“Excellent hostel”

Checkout at noon was convenient, and the interior design, especially the quirky room names, gave the place a fun vibe. The location hit the sweet spot for getting around, and the owner even let us drop off our bags before the official check‑in time. The kitchen was well laid out and fully stocked, which made cooking meals a breeze.
