The setting is stunning! The house is beautifully decorated. Our host Jacquie is adorable, she gave us a good address for dinner. She does everything to make us feel at home in her house. The garden is also very pretty.

Great accommodation with a very nice host. We had a two‑bedroom room with a private bathroom. Cozy, romantic in old chic with a heated blanket. Breakfast was freshly prepared and really tasty. Note: there is no dinner at the property; you have to drive to the neighboring town.

The host was delightful and the furnishings were exquisite. The deer antler chandelier above the dining table was such a talking point, I loved it. Really interesting place to stay, breakfast was delicious, served quickly and we were made to feel very at home. Lots to choose from and the bone china plates, silver cutlery and serving dishes were such a treat. I can see how much thought had gone into the delivery of the house, its amazing and spectacular size and the curtains alone were fabulous, and how its history is seeped into every corner of the house. Maybe check‑in isn’t until 4 pm? I would have liked an earlier check‑in so I could go out and about before dinner; I’m sure if I had emailed they might have allowed an early check‑in.

The staff, especially Jacqueline, was friendly and tried to speak French, which I appreciated, but the bedding left something to be desired.

The stay was very good, and Jacqueline did everything she could to make it smooth; the location is ideal for exploring the area. The bath water wasn’t very hot, but that’s a minor issue and everything else was excellent.
