The spot was great and super quiet, with no car or other guests noise. The only downside was that there was no TV in the room.
“Disappointing Stay Due to Room Quality”
I was really disappointed with my stay - the room was extremely small and outdated, and at the price we paid, it was a poor value.
“A Great Location, But Room for Improvement”
I was really pleased with the hotel's location, being right near the ocean was a huge plus. However, our room didn't quite live up to our expectations, with a moldy smell and outdated decor that left us feeling a bit disappointed. On the other hand, the staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay much more enjoyable.
“We will stay here again and will recommend it to others. Sad that we couldnʻt have rented a stall.”
The number of beds fit our family perfectly, and the view from the back lanai was soothing; I also enjoyed the bamboo, ti leaf, and the chickens. The kitchen met all our needs for the trip, though the fridge was a bit small, which we managed. Toward the end, our car wouldn’t start. We ordered a part, but because it was Sunday and we were on an outer island, it had to wait for delivery. We asked if we could leave the car and even offered to rent the stall for two days, but the owner declined, so the car was towed. What was meant to be a relaxing two‑night stay in Hilo turned into an expensive one.
“A Mixed Experience at This Hotel”
I had an interesting experience with the hotel's location, but unfortunately, I encountered some issues during check-in as the staff were absent. I also struggled to secure a parking spot for my car, and the bathroom's exhaust fan was incredibly loud, making it hard to relax.
