“Aanrader”
The place was quiet and yet close to attractions. The host and staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a balcony overlooking rice fields and mountains. The bed was good, the bathroom was nice, and tuk‑tuk facilities were available. It gave an authentic Sri Lankan vibe.

The place was clean, the owners were very nice, and breakfast was included in the booking price. Occasionally a little frog would visit the sink. There was no AC, and Wi‑Fi didn’t work well on the far side of the room.

The family run hotel was kind and the sheets were clean. At night a cockroach appeared in the bathroom and I couldn’t sleep; the shower only produced water. There was no door between the bathroom and bedroom. I asked for a room change, but the response was delayed and after checkout I received a message saying “we’ll change it!” which made me uneasy. The AC was missing, and the place was a bit far from the Dambulla area, so be cautious.
