The spot is great for the North York Moors Railway and the Pickering centre, just a 7‑8 minute walk away. The beds are the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on, Valerie is a wonderful host, and breakfast is excellent. The garden is nice to sit out on a good day too.

Overall, it felt good and the location was great. We only had hand soap in the room, no other toiletries or shampoo, which is a pity and I hope they improve that in the future.

From booking to departure it was all great. We were greeted with a cup of tea, shown a spotless room, wandered into town, returned, slept well, and woke to a full English breakfast. They let us leave the car on site until we were ready to leave. I’ll book again.

I stayed here to catch the NYMR, and the station is a very short walk away. Valerie and her staff are all lovely, and the breakfast is amazing too. The only downside was having to check out.
