Because my husband needed frequent trips between Miaoli and Taipei Veterans General Hospital for treatment, we chose Tianmu Star Business Hotel. We’re extremely grateful to the entire staff, especially the front‑desk lady, whose service was outstanding. Although the official check‑in time is 4 pm, the desk staff learned about my husband’s limited mobility and, once the room was ready, let us check in at 12 pm so he could rest. That flexible, caring response meant a lot to us as a family of a patient. When unexpected issues arose, the hotel also offered compassionate, flexible assistance that made us feel both apologetic and warmly cared for. Beyond the heartfelt service, the location is perfect for hospital visits: the Shihpai MRT station is just a few minutes’ walk away, and a free shuttle from exit 1 of the station takes you straight to the hospital. Even a taxi from the hotel to the hospital costs only about NT$90, making travel cheap and easy. This place feels like a second home in Taipei during a stressful medical journey, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone heading to the hospital, accompanying patients, or on business. Thank you again, Tianmu Star!
The hotel is conveniently close to the Veterans Hospital. However, the room type location isn’t clearly marked—there’s a basement unit with no window that costs 2400 per night and feels overpriced. Customer service eventually offered a room change, but a better approach would have been a free upgrade; instead I had to pay an extra 200 to move up, which left me uneasy. Cancellation wasn’t an option without a fee, so I stuck with the basement and paid extra to get a higher floor. Other hotels usually upgrade you at no charge, which makes you want to return, but this experience makes me think twice.
The annex is right next to Shihpai MRT station, making it very handy. The downside is that the bathroom feels a bit cramped.
The place is just a five‑minute walk left from Exit 1 of Shihpai MRT, near Shihpai Elementary and the Rongguang Garden. The front desk works on a schedule, and you can call them when nobody is on site. It’s an approved lodging for both the Veterans Hospital and Zhenxing Hospital, and the room comes with a tiny kitchen counter, a dish‑drying rack, microwave, utensils, a small fridge, a desk, wardrobe, a fold‑out sofa bed, and a little balcony that even has a washing machine; the bathroom is dry‑wet separated, and the bedding was clean and comfortable for a good night’s sleep.
“非常好喔!”
Even though breakfast isn’t included, there are plenty of eateries nearby and the MRT station is only a few minutes away. The staff are genuinely helpful; any request or question is met with a willing attitude. The room also has a washing machine and a rice cooker, which is incredibly convenient for business trips in the area. The only hiccup was that the Wi‑Fi in my 6B room didn’t show up, though it didn’t ruin the stay, and the staff said they’d send someone to fix it the next day.
