“Beautiful place, wonderful host, we loved everything!”

Everything was flawless—after reading the reviews I was skeptical, but this place delivered. The host Louisa and her team were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was versatile, freshly made, and the beach was pristine and quiet, with free sunbeds available. The steps down to the beach are steep, so be careful. Sunsets from both Sunset House’s outdoor area and the beach were breathtaking. We felt safe walking out late and left our belongings on the beach while swimming without worry. A 2 km walk to Anzio for dinner offered nice views, though Louisa offered to drive us. Anzio Colonia station is a few blocks away, and a small shop about a 5‑minute walk sells water, beer, wine, snacks, and fresh pizza slices. We loved everything and can’t wait to return. The only minor issues were occasional cold shower water and unpredictable Wi‑Fi, but they didn’t affect our stay.

“Tolle Unterkunft mit sehr liebevollen Gastergebern”

The accommodation is easily reachable from Rome by train and offers direct access to a flat sandy beach. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and quickly felt at ease thanks to their affectionate, family‑like manner. They were very helpful and assisted us with many things. The rooms are lovingly furnished and very clean. The garden is beautiful, very quiet, and boasts stunning sunsets. Free loungers and umbrellas are available for the beach. It’s the ideal place after a few days in Rome.

“Fantastic, wonderful, beautiful”

Sunset House is a true gem, and Louisa’s hospitality really makes it shine. The indoor common area and outdoor terrace are spacious and inviting, with plenty of room to relax. Louisa and her staff are always ready to help. The house sits on a cliff overlooking the sea, offering incredible views. Steps lead down to a semi‑private beach where Louisa provides lounge chairs and umbrellas, so there’s no need to brave the crowds in Anzio’s main area or pay for amenities. The room is roomy; although I usually dislike firm European mattresses, this one was surprisingly comfortable, easing my tendonitis and bursitis. Breakfast is beautiful—yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, meats, pastries, eggs, and fantastic coffee made to order, all served on the lovely terrace. For dinner, many nearby restaurants are available, but we simply took away pizza two nights in a row and enjoyed it on the terrace. The sunset view is as good or better than any restaurant could offer, and the pizza—four huge slices, two croquettes, and a bottle of wine for 13 €—was fantastic. We loved it here and can’t wait to return. The only complaint is that the shower door is a little wonky.

“Vacanza affacciati sul mare!”

The garden opens directly onto the sea, offering a splendid panorama and a spectacular sunset. The owners and staff are super welcoming.
