“Okay”
We stayed two nights at a very well‑designed hotel where every room looked out over the ocean, there was a beautiful lawn, and two large swimming pools; the hotel is large and still undergoing refurbishment. Our room was spacious, the shower was great, everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only real issue was the food: breakfast was a buffet with many options and fine, but the pool bar served cold dishes and many menu items were unavailable, while the à‑la‑carte room‑service meal felt like leftovers from the evening buffet, was the most expensive and the worst meal we had in Sri Lanka, which was disappointing. The hotel has great location, ocean views, huge pools, grounds, and comfortable rooms, but better food quality and attention to service would make it a truly good hotel.
