B&B Masseria Conti Filo

A historic and charming property; the room had everything needed for a great stay, its size was modest but the WOW factor at arrival more than made up for it; the bathroom was comfortable and the shower really spacious. The property also boasts a beautiful pool overlooking the countryside, perfect for relaxing after a day in Altamura. What truly sets this farmhouse apart is the care, love, and passion the owners, Mimmo and Mimma, pour into it, making us feel at home. A special note goes to the breakfast, rich and enhanced with high‑quality local products that we greatly appreciated.

“Cher payé”

Les propriétaires du gîte sont des gens gentils, ouverts et de bonne volonté. Le gîte offre une belle vue sur les champs aux alentours d'Altamura. L'insonorisation inexistante entre les deux chambres de la bâtisse antique. Le manque de professionnalisme des hôtes. Ils quittent le gîte sans prévenir en laissant leurs chiens agressifs décider de qui peut ou ne peut pas y pénétrer (nous pas, visiblement). Nous sommes restés bloqués 20' dans la voiture devant le gîte avec les enfants après 22.00! L'absence d'offre de restauration (hormis le PDJ, très banal) dans un environnement où le premier commerce est à 15' de route. La piscine prévue pour quelques personnes est ouverte à des gens de passage, la rendant bondée lors de notre arrivée (15 août). Le mauvais rapport qualité-prix

“Pleasant property in good location to explore other sights.”

The breakfast was varied, of excellent quality, and the manager/owner was very helpful. The location, close to Altamura, let us visit a few historic towns, including the beautiful Castel del Monte and Matera. We were disturbed by barking dogs at night, there is no restaurant on the property, and breakfast was not included in the room price.

The Conti Filo farmhouse is ideal for staying in a place full of history and surrounded by olive groves and Apulian countryside. The owners’ welcome is fantastic, and the breakfast with local, zero‑km products feels truly genuine. Being just a few minutes from Altamura makes it a perfect spot to explore Lucania and Murgia. Absolutely recommended!

Breakfast is incredibly tasty and full of gems: from the famous monk’s pot to the fig preserves. The service is regal and every detail is cared for. However, directions are scarce along the route, and the property feels isolated even though it’s close to the town center.
