I usually don’t write reviews unless something really stands out, and this time I couldn’t help it. My first trip to Sri Lanka was all about visiting places linked to Jeffrey Bawa, and while traveling I discovered the charming village of Ella, so I booked this place on a gut feeling. The staff welcomed me warmly, listened carefully to my broken English, and explained everything clearly and patiently. Their care, affection, and genuine hospitality were evident, and the homemade dishes made with their own vegetables and spices were gentle and truly delicious. Visiting Sri Lanka for this stay is worth it; if you’re going for the first time, just tell them what you need and let them take care of the rest—you’ll have a wonderful time. I hope to come back with my family someday. Thank you so much, and may this family’s happiness last forever.

Everything was perfect. The family is the best I’ve ever known; the owner is an ideal person, a great husband and father. Even the way his family cared for the little kittens was wonderful. We bought food for the kittens, Polish alcohol for the host, and candies for his daughters, and the owner rewarded us beyond measure. The stay was amazing; we had everything we wanted, better than an all‑inclusive holiday. The owner drove us to town whenever we wanted, made coffee and tea on request, and gave us coconut water right away. The food cooked by the host’s wife was mouth‑watering. We felt better than with family. I’ve never been so well taken care of in a guesthouse. The guesthouse itself is in a beautiful setting—perfect for escaping the city buzz and touristy Ella. We stayed two nights, which felt too short. It’s the best place in Sri Lanka; stay at least three nights. Don’t book anything yourself—trust the host. He’s truly honest; many people overcharge tourists in Sri Lanka, but this owner is fair and will show you fantastic places for almost nothing and help organize everything in Ella and all over Sri Lanka. Give him a good tip, because the work he does and the help he offers deserves it. He let us ride his tuk‑tuk. We’ll definitely come back!

If you’re around Ella, this is a great place to stay. The family is incredibly friendly and helpful. Living in nature makes you feel relaxed right away. I especially recommend the breakfast and dinner featuring many home‑grown garden products 😍 We had great stays in Sri Lanka, but this one was the best. I’ll be back anytime. A small note: the last 900 m to the accommodation goes through a small path in the tea plantations—don’t be alarmed, it’s all fine to drive 👍

“Meilleur endroit de notre voyage”

It was definitely the most beautiful encounter of our month‑long trip to Sri Lanka. During those three days we were treated like family members. The place is quiet, 15 min from Ella, and feels like home. The breakfasts and the rice and curry dinners were the best we’ve ever had. The site sits on a 5‑hectare plot where fruits and spices grow for you to taste. Staying here isn’t choosing another hotel for your trip; it’s choosing the human beauty of a magnificent family, extraordinary kindness, and an experience that will stay in our memories far more than the most beautiful landscapes. You can trust them with closed eyes; they’ll give excellent advice and will take care of you so you have the best stay! Thanks for everything and hope to see you again soon.
