Habibi Nubian is a good place to stay, clean and with good food. The location isn’t great; you can’t walk at night and it doesn’t feel safe.

Habibi Nubian Guest House is the best option for staying on the west bank of Aswan. Owner Habibi is the best. You can get all tours in Aswan from him. He has private boats and can arrange for boat tours as well. If you want to experience Nubian people, a Nubian village, and food, this is the best choice. In addition there is an option for free laundry service. We booked Abu Simbel tours from a private team in a van. Most of the tours to Abu Simbel start from the east bank, i.e. near Awan city. So they charged an extra $30 for our pickup. If you are staying on the east bank of Aswan it’s free.

The staff is very friendly. The stay is quiet and very comfortable even though it isn’t that big. It’s very clean and the food is very tasty. Maybe only the distance, but there are small boats that cross the river in about 5 minutes.

We, a pair of Japanese women, stayed here. The boat dock is within a 10‑minute walk, and boats can be hired for 20 Egyptian pounds—there were plenty, so getting around was easy. When we joined the early‑morning Aswan tour, we requested a private boat. The place was clean and tidy, breakfast tasty, and the room had air‑conditioning and a hot shower. On the rooftop you can drink alcohol and smoke shisha. Habibi was very kind and helped with everything; he taught us many things, which was a great help. I definitely want to stay again and recommend it to everyone!
