“Ripped off!”
They deducted £250 from me for a room, then cancelled the room and five weeks later I still haven’t received a refund. I was charged for a room I didn’t get.

“Nice hotel but very few facilities”
Breakfast was delightful, but after a hectic day we discovered the hotel didn't serve dinner, forcing us to head into the nearby village for a meal. There was no on‑site restaurant and the hotel offered almost nothing else to do.
“Disappointing”
The view from the front of the property was fantastic and the breakfast was acceptable, but the room was worn out and needed a lot of maintenance; the carpet, bedding and furniture were marked and stained, there was no hot water for showers in the morning, the view was dreadful and we expected more for the money we paid. We booked this property based on the TV coverage and the standard was nothing like it, obviously had been when run by the previous owner.

The venue was gorgeous and everything ran smoothly, with staff who were warm and helpful. When we tried to check in, they told us we had no room because the entire place was booked for a wedding, so they took our money anyway. After talking to the bride (my niece) and groom, they offered us a suite that turned out to be very nice and comfortable, though the whole situation was a bit embarrassing at first.
