“Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis”

I really enjoyed my time in Engelberg. The hotel feels a bit dated, but it's clean and the staff are consistently friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful, offering scrambled eggs, ham, jam, cheese, sausage, and yogurt every day, plus juices and coffee. Everything was sufficient and perfectly fine. Because of its location across from the Zentralbahn station, evenings can be a little noisy with announcements over the speakers, yet that adds a certain charm to listening to the announcements. The view directly onto the ski jump is fantastic, and I’d definitely come back in winter for a better experience. Crystal is centrally located, so restaurants, the bus stop, and Engelberg Abbey are just a few minutes away. The only downside was the bathroom exhaust system, which is timed and causes the mirror to fog up after a shower.

The breakfast was nice and the staff were great and friendly.

The breakfast was varied, and I liked the small glasses of yogurt and fruit. We weren’t allowed to have dinner inside, and during that summer there were many wasps that were attracted to outdoor dining. With kids, you have to be very careful not to let them swallow wasps on the food, which could lead to a sting in the esophagus.

“Comfortable stay”

The room was large and comfortable, with a good bed. The hotel’s location is very convenient, yet the room remained quiet despite the central spot. A small fridge and kettle are very useful, and the staff respond quickly.
