“Peaceful but small and selectively uncomfortable”
The staff were friendly and the place was clean, but the air‑conditioner broke during a humid day and the room felt cramped for two people.

We stayed there, but overall it wasn’t very clean—especially the towels and sheets. When we were exhausted, a strange odor lingered and we couldn’t use it. The shoe rack still smelled from previous guests, so everything was bad.

The area is quiet, clean, and orderly. Getting in was easy and staying in touch with the host was straightforward. The room is small but adequate for a few days. The shared bathroom and toilet were kept tidy, but even with great metro lines, it took a while to reach the city center.

Very clean with good shower and cooking facilities, and it’s centrally located near conveniences. The neighborhood is safe and tidy, and the nearest train station is a 15‑minute walk. It’s a lovely spot to capture the essence of Japan and was great for young travelers on a budget. The room was tiny, but the price made it acceptable; it had a single bed with a trundle and needed more pillows. It’s an hour from Tokyo city by train, so I spent a lot on fares to get to the city center and around to see sights with many train changes. I paid $160 AUD to get to Tokyo Station by Uber with suitcases.

There’s inexpensive coin parking at night nearby. Within walking distance are 100‑yen shops, a drugstore, and many restaurants, and next door is a liquor store. Noise is minimal, so soundproofing is adequate, and traffic is light at night, making it quiet. A foreign guest who didn’t follow the rules was present. A female guest left the sink wet and didn’t wipe it. The limited outlets mean you’ll need a power strip if you bring a PC.
