“Elegant and well appointed inn.”
I was thrilled with my time at Le Prieure; the décor is sleek and the rooms feel supremely cozy. The owners have paid meticulous attention to every detail to make guests feel at home, and their travel experience shows through the art and books scattered around the property. Every morning I enjoyed a beautifully presented breakfast that was more than enough to start the day. The owner also offered useful dining and travel suggestions. We spent an afternoon touring the Henri Bourgeois vineyards, and if you’re lucky enough to have Emily as your guide, you won’t be disappointed. The property is just a short drive from the village of Sancerre, and I would gladly return.
Very good.
“Hervorragend in jeder Beziehung”
Everything was perfect here, from the incredibly friendly host to the spacious, stylish interior, the location, the lounge, and the excellent breakfast featuring unusual jams made by the host and fine crottins.
“Außergewöhnliches historisches Gebäude in zentraler Lage”
The historic building was stunning, and the room was great. The proximity to the center and the protected parking were convenient. The breakfast was exceptionally good, featuring homemade items. The room could have been a bit better heated.
“Tolle und ruhige Lage direkt an der Loire”
The garden offers a lovely view of the Loire and a small pool; everything was very clean. The owner’s demeanor was pleasant—interested without being intrusive. It’s a great base for excursions around the area (Bourges, the Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé wine regions, canoe trips, Guédelon, etc.). The town center with its restaurants is within walking distance. The beds were too soft for us, yet we slept extremely well.
