“Pas de nefertiti.”
We booked in February, but four days before our Cairo stay, we were told the hotel couldn't accommodate us; we found a much better place with a great manager instead.

The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located, with staff who really cared for us just a stone's throw from the pyramids; the value for money is excellent. It’s a shame we got a windowless room, but we can only blame ourselves—we paid a very low price and should have spent a bit more.

Nothing good to say. This is a scam: the Nefertiti Royal Hotel doesn’t exist; they use multiple names for the same place to boost bookings. The building has six floors, only the first is usable; the rest are under renovation or abandoned.

The staff were helpful. Late check‑in. They assisted with arranging tours and taxis. At reception we arranged a taxi and a dinner on a Nile cruise, which turned out to be the best choice since the area around the hotel is not great and we didn’t know where to eat, so the dinner on the cruise was superb, with a buffet and entertainment, and we were very satisfied. The rooms were dirty, no cleaning had taken place, and even upon arrival the rooms were not clean enough. We arrived late at night, the area is very unsafe, and it was good that our driver went looking for the hotel himself. It took a long time to find it; the name Nefertiti was nowhere to be found, and in the end we discovered our hotel was actually called Superior Pyramids Inn. The breakfast was tasteless, cold, and took a long time to prepare.

The staff were responsive and tried to help with any question, and the hotel’s design is pretty well thought out. The room wasn’t cleaned, we stayed two nights and there were too few toiletries; we had to ask for more towels. The room didn’t match what we booked – a view of the pyramids with a jacuzzi – and we ended up with one room that had a jacuzzi but faced a neighboring building, the other had no jacuzzi or view. They offered a different room with a view, but it was on a floor where the elevator was slow and the corridor was under repair. As a consolation, we got a cappuccino at breakfast for the wrong room. The first day’s breakfast was very modest, cold, took a long time to prepare, and the café staff were not very polite. On the second day we saw other guests having fruit as if it were part of the breakfast, even though nothing was brought on the first day. The rooms were not entirely clean; the design concept is good but cleaning is poor. The area around the hotel feels unsafe, especially at night, and it seems there are only such options in that neighbourhood; it was sad to see such a scene so close to the pyramids, clearly not tourist‑friendly.
