I appreciate the avid style and modern setup of the hotel, and this is my third stay at an avid property, but the evening staff at arrival seemed disorganized and unprofessional. I called a couple of hours before arrival to request an early check‑in; they said it wasn’t possible, yet when I got there I heard the two front‑desk clerks say they were just beginning to assign rooms. No other guests were waiting for early check‑in or rooms to be assigned, and it felt like they intentionally delayed starting the room assignments after the official check‑in time, which was very frustrating given my advance call.

The location is close to the attractions, the lobby is clean, and the staff is friendly; I also liked the all‑day beverage station. However, breakfast was subpar because there was no waffle station or pancake maker, and the room lacked a microwave.
