“Could not write anything because we had to stay outside the whole night in our car even after paying 20k”

If you’re heading to the tiger reserve and want to see elephants, this spot is perfect, but if Ooty is on your list, I’d steer clear because it’s a long way from there. A weird scheme is happening in Ooty, especially for those driving their own cars. We drove from Masinagudi to Ooty, but on the way back the police blocked our route, demanded an Ooty license, and only let local drivers pass—who charge 1200 for the same trip. If you refuse to pay, you must take an alternate path that’s 65 km farther, and that road shuts after 9 pm. We ran into the same issue, arrived late at the gates, and ended up sleeping in our car all night. I’m giving this resort a low score because the communication broke down and they didn’t help even after we sent them our live location.

“PLEASE AVOID BY ALL COSTS. THERE ARE MULTIPLE STAYS IN THE SAME AREA.”

Where do I even begin? The management shows zero respect for the property. While the MD was traveling in Mumbai, his team didn’t even know we had a booking and made us wait over an hour while he was too busy to answer calls. They had no idea which rooms to assign and handed us dark, murky rooms. The room itself was stinky, damp, and claustrophobic. On top of that, we ordered mutton curry but were served dog food. The staff seemed clueless, and it’s clear the management, if there is any, doesn’t care.
