The welcome was fantastic, full of empathy and warmth, the place was beautiful and magical, the spa was wonderful and flawless, the room was very spacious and very clean.

Everything was perfect, especially the attention to detail and Helen’s warm, professional welcome. The art, the animals, the rooms, and everything else were also excellent. Nothing to add.

I booked another hotel in Amboise, but the place was dusty, had a musty smell, lacked staff, and the thin line between medieval charm and old, filthy conditions was obvious; there was no air‑conditioning and it was miles from anywhere.

The staff were kind, the location was great, the indoor sauna was nice, and breakfast was good, though it felt a bit out of the way.
