Hotel Giordano, a 19th‑century villa near Ravello Cathedral, blends historic charm with modern comfort. Its sun‑shaded terrace, framed by centuries‑old magnolia trees, hosts a pool with anti‑slip tiles and loungers. Rooms feature period furnishings, original paintings, Vietri Majolica tiles, air‑conditioning, and private baths, offering hillside or pool views. Nearby Villa Maria serves traditional Amalfi cuisine.

I thought it was a solid four‑star hotel with friendly service, very clean, and in a great spot. The bathroom lights were overly bright and there was no body lotion or conditioner. The breakfast wasn’t very tempting, but it was acceptable.

The location was great, the hotel was quiet, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was nice, and the front garden was lovely. However, there was no kettle in the rooms, no variety of cereals at breakfast, and we weren’t allowed to iron in our rooms—no iron was provided. They mentioned an ironing facility could be arranged externally, but we weren’t told an ironing room was available for guests, which we only discovered by accident on the morning of our wedding. The price was high, but that’s likely because we were in Ravello.

The location is perfect, the pool is beautiful and the breakfast excellent. The room is monastic (24bis)! No decoration, no paintings, no decorative objects. Absolute austerity! The light is white, bright and harsh, making it hard to read a few lines while your partner sleeps. The shower is too small. But it’s Ravello, this hotel doesn’t deserve more than three stars and it is obvious that the price we paid 2900€/5 nights isn’t worth it.
