The views were stunning and the location made it a great base for exploring nearby sites; the food was also excellent. However, the living area with the fireplace can become so smoky that the smoke drifts into rooms close by.

The lodging is superb and has everything you need to feel at home, with a very relaxed and welcoming vibe. Janet is an amazing host who assists with everything thanks to her local knowledge, and the option to dine in is a nice bonus. It’s just 20 minutes from the San Rock Art Centre. Nothing else to mention.

We came as a couple on a leisure trip, enjoyed a beautiful hike in the Kamberg Nature Reserve, and spent an entire day indoors by the fire because of the icy cold weather. Janet was an excellent and attentive hostess, a great cook, and paid close attention to any guest needs. We loved our stay. The temperature was very low and there was snow on the mountains; a heater in the room or bathroom would have made it even more comfortable.
