I stayed right next to Kyoto Station, and there was a Lawson just beside the hotel. They offer a 100‑yen dryer and a 300‑yen washing machine, and you can monitor the cycle from the TV in your room. The staff were very attentive and helped us send our luggage to Tokyo. The only downside was that we were charged an extra tax upon arrival that wasn’t listed in the reservation.
“Polecam!”
The TV selection was generally weak, but I’ve seen this in many hotels across different cities.
The room size and bed comfort were great, and we had access to the onsen. However, the dryer in the laundry room didn’t dry our clothes, so we ended up with damp laundry and had to pack again for the next day’s departure.
“今後京都に泊まる際にはこちらにと決めました”
Breakfast was delicious, the bathroom was spacious and the changing room had its own lock, which made me feel safe; everything was perfect.
The hotel was spotless, the room was a nice size for Japan, and the staff were friendly. I appreciated having a laundry room inside the hotel where we could wash our clothes between city stops.
