The location by the water is nice. The building is old, the rooms have high humidity, and although there’s a dehumidifier in the room, it shuts off once it’s full. Sleeping in that humidity was very uncomfortable, and our clothes and travel bags came home smelling musty, so we had to wash everything and wipe down our bag with Lysol.
“Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Next time, we'd try getting a nicer room. From the photos on line they have”
We loved the Smithfield area and the Smithfield Station overall was very unique. The staff were very friendly and the Restaurant food was excellent. The hotel is a quaint historic building and the room had nice updates. Wonderful walk in shower, and very comfortable bed. The room we were assigned to was very small and had damp smell when we entered. From the photos online we were expecting a much nicer room. For the price we paid for 2 nights, it just was not what we expected
“Pleasant”
It was okay, but some items tasted old. Some of the food was cold and the bagels were old.
“I enjoyed my stay to the fullest and looking forward to coming back.”
I turned 60 with a crowd of about 50 people—family, friends, and coworkers—and we dined at the Smithfield Station Restaurant. The food and service were outstanding, and I’m already looking forward to returning. The customer service was outstanding!
“Very nice.”
The location, onsite restaurant, nice area, and view were all great. There was no elevator, so I had to lug my suitcase upstairs, and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open, which caused a lot of humidity in the bathroom.
