The place sits in the heart of Carcassonne, right next to the Canal Du Midi pier, and the beds were super comfy while the blinds cut out all outside light. The biggest issue was the lack of pre‑arrival communication: two days before arrival I tried the app to ask for access codes because we were coming at night and there was no front desk, but got no reply. I reached out twice to Booking support; they managed to talk to the hotel but still didn’t send the codes. At 15:00 on the day of arrival I still didn’t have the keys, so I had to go back to Booking again and they finally gave me access, but didn’t tell us that our rooms were in a different building, so we spent 10 minutes trying to get in through the main entrance without success. We were a group of three rooms. The housekeeping was subpar: on the first day, after putting up the sign and asking the floor lady directly, they only changed the towels in every room and swept the floor in one; the next day we had to go to reception to report it. After being notified they cleaned, but it seemed they didn’t intend to and left the trash bags full. They said the worker was new, though basic cleaning duties should be known in a hotel. The room sold as “Confort” was actually just a standard room. Soundproofing was weak, with clear traffic noise outside, hallway traffic, and other rooms audible.

The spot was great, but having to park on the street a mere 10 metres from my ground‑floor window was a hassle.

The room was clean and the breakfast was hearty. The bathroom was cramped, especially the sink, and the other guests—foreign ones—talked very loudly at breakfast.

The location is good and the free motorcycle parking is great. It could use some refurbishment, but for a couple of nights it’s worth the price. I’d come back if I return to Carcassonne. The bathroom was a bit neglected but nothing serious; it needs updating but has everything required and is clean overall.
