The view overlooking the lake was stunning, and the room was huge with fantastic facilities: a separate shower, toilet, and steam room (not sure why you’d want that in this heat). There were also two hot tubs that you need to know about; after using one at a warm temperature I almost fainted because I was so hot. The water was green, probably due to the spa treatment, I hope. The beds are too hard, so I complained early each day and felt achy and stiff.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the rooms were comfortable. The lakefront location was nice and relaxing. The massage was excellent, with a professional masseuse, and the value for money was good. However, the shower drainage was blocked, and breakfast was not ready until 7am, which delayed my meeting. They do not offer a breakfast buffet, never ask what you want, and there is no menu. Unless you pre‑order your meal you won’t know what you will get.

When booking the hotel, breakfast was included, and it also offered a Dao ethnic herbal bath. This amenity is in the hotel room itself, so it’s easy to use. The hotel is by the lake, so it’s cool and breezy. The hotel should add night lights.

The balcony offers a stunning view over the lake, creating a very peaceful atmosphere. I enjoyed a full body massage, and Thì was exceptionally professional—she definitely deserves a raise. The only downside was the hot water, which could be improved.
