We found the house pretty good, even though we arrived in the dark. We had received detailed key instructions before arrival, and the messages from the property were even in German! When we got there, we could already have a cup of tea. We also let them know when we wanted breakfast, and that worked out nicely. The breakfast room was nice. After breakfast we wanted to work on our laptops for an hour, but our room had no table, so we used the one in the breakfast room.

The countryside tourism farm “Ąžuola” is a place I truly want to recommend from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ I came to the farm by bike from Kaunas. That day I had already ridden about 150 km, the day was ending, and my energy was low. Initially I planned to stay at a rest area by Lake Druskinis, but around 20–20:30, sitting on a bench, I found an available room at the “Ąžuola” farm. There were still about 9 km left to the place. After booking the room I called to ask if I would still make it, because the bike trip would take about half an hour. The host immediately told me he would wait for me and that we could safely park the bike in the garage. After 150 km of riding, hearing such sincere welcome, I felt renewed energy to finish the last 9 km. 😊 When I arrived, I was greeted, the bike was safely parked in the garage, and I got a fantastic overnight stay. After such a long trip, that was exactly what I needed – calm, coziness, and genuine care from people. In the morning another pleasant surprise awaited – I was offered a free cup of strong coffee. ☕️ Places and people like this leave the biggest impression on journeys. A big thank you to the “Ąžuola” hosts for the warm reception, care, and humanity. If I ever find myself in these regions again, I will definitely come back!

Warm communication with the manager Daiva, her professionalism. She truly loves and knows her job. I can’t believe that for such a low price I could get services that exceed expectations.

This property was a hidden gem. The location is a tiny village in very rural countryside, there’s a bar / restaurant, two little shops and a church a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away but nothing else. The property was spotlessly clean, everything felt brand new. The rooms were really simple but still beautiful and in keeping with the surroundings. The beds were extremely comfortable. The ground had a climbing frame, a small pond, a big pond and there was a house with a wood fired hot tub and sauna. The manager was amazing and couldn’t enough for you, breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. We have family nearby and would definitely stay here again!
