The location was good and the staff were fine, but my wife and I got bitten by bedbugs in Room No.15 and overall cleanliness was poor.

Beautifully located, with the best sunset views. The property itself is sprawling, with ample space to sit and unwind. It feels like a space with a lot of character, a lot of history. The staff is extremely helpful. I almost didn’t book the place because I read that the food is pure veg. As a hardcore non vegetarian, this worried me a bit, but if you’re like me, I’d like to put your fears to rest. Yes, the food is vegetarian, but it’s so tasty, healthy and wholesome that at no point did I miss meat. Nothing in particular. The Wi-Fi is extremely weak and there is close to no network, but for me that just helped because it kept me in the present. I couldn’t scroll mindlessly, so ended up reading 2 full books from their library, a habit I’d been promising myself I would get back to

It’s surrounded by deodar, calm and mesmerizing.

The location, the warmth of the people who run the place, the sense of belonging, the rooms, the estate itself, and the view from the rooms are all excellent. It’s hard to find fault. If you’re okay with a relatively remote spot that may take a long drive if traffic blocks the hilly roads—our trip took about 5 hours—and you want to be totally immersed in nature, this place is for you.
