We stayed here before heading out on the Hiawatha trail; it was very clean, the atmosphere was lovely, the bed was comfortable, Donna was fabulous, and the town was cute with close restaurants that were very good.

The decor felt like Grandma’s house, which I absolutely loved; the beds were comfy, the rooms were wonderful, it was so comfortable that I can’t wait to come back. Donna was so helpful and everything about the Ryan Hotel was outstanding – we loved it!

The owners were friendly and even let us store our bikes. The room was small yet tidy and cozy, but it was old and one of the rooms lacked an air conditioner—just a fan—despite the listing saying it had AC.

The Ryan Hotel sits right in the heart of downtown, close to restaurants, bars, hiking, and the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes, and the building itself feels charming and well kept. The staff are helpful and personable, but the night we stayed was hot and the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable until the middle of the night. We also received an excessive number of texts and emails about our stay and follow‑ups; a single reminder email or text, plus one follow‑up, would have been enough.
