Hotel Royal-Riviera

We were on a trip to Nice with my son and chose this guesthouse because it was a quiet spot to relax in the sun for three days. I booked two separate beds, but had to pay an extra 600 € for them on arrival. For the whole next day the sockets didn’t work and we had to charge our phone downstairs; on the third day we couldn’t stand it any longer, complained, and were moved to another room on the last day (we left that morning). The staff smiled politely, but I definitely won’t come back.

The location, hotel facilities and staff were amazing. Our room was clean and serviced multiple times each day. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I would say that the staff were a stand out thank you!!. Nothing

“Beware of the rude and liar staff no personal safety at all if you object anything or have any problem.”

The property itself is fine but not worth the price given the attitude and staff. The staff are rude, unresponsive, and dishonest. They tricked us into changing our room for a third of what we paid, and when we raised the issue they tried to seize our luggage and had porters escort us out. They claimed we had two breakfasts when we only had one, and when we objected they said they would check CCTV if we told the truth. We asked for the manager overnight for all these problems, but nobody came or contacted us.

“Great hotel but some of the staff let it down”

It’s an amazing hotel and the front desk staff are excellent, but the breakfast staff were super rude and ruined the experience.
