I loved staying just five minutes from one of the island’s most beautiful beaches; the hotel itself is lovely and spotless, the Japanese breakfast (and dinner) is tasty, and the overall vibe feels authentic. It’s a bit remote, so without a car you’ll need to take an Uber each time you want to move around, and it’s a touch pricier than I’m used to, but it was worth it.

The location is excellent, the staff are very friendly, there’s a sea view, and the room comes with a balcony. The building feels somewhat run‑down, the foyer is a bit uncomfortable, there’s no usable outdoor space, the breakfast is only Japanese‑style, and the room furnishings look a bit old.

The spot is great, just a four‑minute walk to the beach. However, an empty fountain right in front of the restaurant window held four large dead crabs for days, and we only got a Japanese breakfast; the advertised Western/Japanese buffet was missing.
