“伊豆自駕遊Day3”
Even though the Mikra typhoon caused a little trouble, the parking lot was full and the GPS kept saying the road to the hotel was closed when it was actually passable. The wooden hot‑spring tub in the room was great; I could soak whenever I wanted and ended up taking five baths, the only time I’ve ever done that. Dinner was a buffet, but it would have been nicer to have a proper table instead of a low mat, since we had to keep getting up for food. The large bath area has a stone‑cave hot spring that’s very distinctive; the breeze from the stream and the high water temperature made it incredibly relaxing and the space was well ventilated. Booking early turned out to be smarter – a one‑night, two‑meal package cost about 5000 TWD. The check‑in clerk seemed foreign and spoke English so fast I barely understood. The receptionist first said dinner would be a set menu, but at the restaurant it was a buffet; I tried to ask in English but she didn’t get it until I switched to Japanese. Different staff spoke different languages, and there were few Japanese speakers. In the large outdoor bath, a wooden seat floated, almost causing me to slip, so you have to watch out. At night the lighting is dim and the view is dark, which also needs attention.
