Breakfast was tasty, but it was the same every day over our 4‑night stay, with limited variety (no cutlery, no sausages, no boiled eggs, fruit only apple and pear, etc.), probably because there weren’t many guests. The location is nice, about 1 km from the nearest village, and there are horses, pigs, cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, and chickens in the garden. There are limited program options for small children within a 1‑hour drive, but it’s enough for a maximum of 4 days. There is a very good playhouse for restless small climbers in the nearby town. However, there is no restaurant on site, and meals are only possible Thursday‑Sunday if the owner cooks a meal of her choice, which you can join in. There is a common kitchen but no microwave, and there is no TV in the room.

We wanted to explore this beautiful corner of Slovenia, and Helena gave us several e‑bike suggestions right upon arrival, which we followed. We spent three pleasant days among the Carinthian hills and forests, and on the way back to the estate we kept noticing how friendly, hardworking people live there, caring about nature, the Slovene land, and the guests’ comfort.

It was a wonderful place for a true rest. Silence, greenery, calm. Helena is a wonderful, warm, and very helpful host. We used the meals she prepared and all of them were delicious!
